Audrey Doherty

Founder & President

Audrey Doherty is the principal of Chemistry PR. With nearly twenty years of public relations and marketing experience, Audrey has established strong credentials in strategic planning, media relations, social media, marketing, business-to-business, promotions, sponsorships and special events.

 

Audrey’s industry experience encompasses commercial and residential real estate, travel, restaurants, consumer products and services, architecture and interior design. Her recent client list Includes top brands including: Aventine, Andaz San Diego, Hyatt Regency La Jolla, Marriott La Jolla, Marriott Del Mar, Waste Management of Southern California, Barona Resort & Casino, DPR Construction, KMA Architecture & Engineering, BOMA San Diego, Mister A’s, Mille Fleurs, and National University.

 

She also serves as the Executive Director of the San Diego Building Owners & Managers Association, the leading voice of commercial real estate in San Diego. As executive director, she manages public relations and marketing, membership services, community outreach and special events planning for more than two dozen commercial real estate events and educational programs annually.

 

Audrey is the recipient of numerous Silver Bernays Awards from the Public Relations Society of America, San Diego Chapter including Best Consumer Service Launch, Best Creative Tactic, Best Institutional Program, Best Travel, Tourism and Hospitality B2B Program and Best Public Affairs Program.

 

A published author, her articles about real estate and hospitality issues and trends have appeared in the San Diego Business Journal and The Daily Transcript, and she has appeared as a spokesperson on many television news programs including NBC 7/39, KUSI, KGTV, KFMB and FOX 6 News.

 

Prior to launching Chemistry PR, Audrey served as an account manager in the public relations Division of Stoorza Communications. She has also worked as a public relations consultant for Sierra On-Line, Showtime Networks, Inc., Saban Entertainment and Warner Vision.

 

While at Murphy/O’Brien Communications in Los Angeles, Audrey developed and implemented national spokesperson media tours, press trips, print and broadcast promotions and special events for a roster of travel, restaurant, and consumer product and lifestyle clients including the Carmel Business Association (Carmel-by-the-Sea), Nestlé, The Peninsula Group Hotels, Wailea Destination Association and Renaissance Hotels and Resorts. Her public relations career began at Rogers & Associates where her clients included VCRPlus+, DirecTV and Atari Games Corp.

 

Audrey earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication Studies from the University of California Los Angeles. She is a past President of the Public Relations Society of America, San Diego Chapter and serves on the Advisory Board of the Center for Community Solutions.

Erin Brown

Account Supervisor

With a background in television news, journalism, and writing, Erin brings a passion for telling stories to her role at Chemistry PR. Erin’s experiences include four years of working as a news producer here in San Diego, helping her build strong relationships with local reporters and producers. She understands how to grab consumer’s attention through media with newsworthy headlines, innovative TV segment ideas and engaging social media content.

 

Erin was born and raised in San Diego, but began her career in Chicago, IL where she interned for a number one news station, FOX Chicago. Here she had the chance to interview top city officials, write news stories and edit video. She attended DePaul University in Chicago where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism and a minor in Digital Cinema. In her free time, Erin loves traveling, crafting and spending time with her husband and dog, Dixie.

Leanne Daly

Account Coordinator

With a diverse background in public relations, marketing, and event coordination, Leanne contributes a candid and creative energy to her position at Chemistry PR. Leanne’s professional adventures include working as an event marketing/PR assistant in the San Diego area, establishing her natural ability to connect with others as a proven professional tool. She recognizes individuality and her word-savvy ways spark unique interest in consumers and clients alike.

 

Leanne is a European transplant, originally from Ireland, who spent most of her academic years in Phoenix, AZ. She attended Arizona State University where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and a Certificate in Special Event Management. She also holds a Certificate in Negotiation and Mediation from the Università di Bologna in Italy. After hours, Leanne loves listening to live music, DIY projects, spontaneous travels, and enjoying the company of her family and friends.

Alexandra Libby

PR Assistant

Alexandra Libby obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences (English) from San Diego State University in August 2015. Looking to put her freshly honed skillset into action, she recently became an intern at Chemistry PR. Her insatiable appetite for growth, development, and connection encouraged her to dive into the transformative world of public relations. In her new role, Alex is learning to support the Chemistry PR team with the acquiring and strengthening of client relationships, social networking, event coordinating, and more. Past years spent in the retail and food industries have given her a strong expectation and appreciation for true customer service. She is an extremely skilled writer, problem solver, and communicator with a passion for leadership and people.

 

Born in San Diego, Alex lived in Denver, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles before making it back to our beautiful city. She credits her wide range of life experiences for her resilient yet caring nature. As she sees it, life is all about making and growing connections with the people and world around her. Alex believes that individuality and authenticity make all the difference our technologically advanced world. Outside of the office, she loves playing contact sports, volunteering for outreach programs in Tecate, Mexico, dancing, singing, hiking, and spending time with friends, family, and animals of any kind!

Kelsey Kraemer

PR Assistant

Kelsey Kraemer received a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations with a minor in Sociology from Penn State University. With the West Coast calling her, she picked up her things and moved to San Diego last October. Kelsey brings her writing skills, artistic abilities and experience in the communications field to the Chemistry PR team. Her skills allow her to assist with enhancing client recognition and social media outreach. Her outgoing personality and experience working in the restaurant industry gives her a comprehensive understanding of genuine customer service.

 

Born and raised in New Jersey, Kelsey moved to San Diego for a change of scenery and because she believes the most rewarding experiences take place when people step out of their comfort zones. She is eager to begin this new chapter in her life and bring a touch of East Coast influence to San Diego. When she is not in the office, Kelsey loves spending time with friends and family, traveling, and being outdoors.

Geannine Roman

PR Assistant

With a background in TV production on award-winning network talk shows, special events planning and coordination for celebrities and high-net-worth clientele, sales and marketing as well as non-profit fundraising, Geannine’s diverse job history has allowed her to cultivate a unique story-telling perspective in her role as a PR Assistant for Chemistry PR. She’s known for her natural ability to inspire others and foster a team approach, and has an ear for words and an eye for creativity while adeptly managing projects and deadlines.

 

Based in the Los Angeles office, she focuses on lifestyle, hospitality and real estate accounts and specializes in special event planning, research, partnership building and keeping the Chemistry PR team up-to-date on the latest market trends. She also assists with administrative tasks and general account support. Geannine has a true passion for travel, food, the environment and music all while balancing a full and eventful life living with her two children in Los Angeles. A native Angeleno, she loves the beach, desert and anything and everything about Southern California.
