15 Apr Andaz San Diego to Host Inaugural “MBA” Salon Event to Benefit Monarch Schools
Andaz San Diego in the Gaslamp Quarter will host a special evening of charity on Wednesday, April 23 from 6 to 8 p.m. to benefit arts education at the Monarch Schools. This will be the first in the hotel’s new “Andaz MBA” salon series of social and cultural events, during which San Diegans and visitors alike will be invited to experience local music, craft beer and contemporary art.
“Andaz San Diego continues to be committed to giving guests and locals an authentic taste of San Diego’s culture through our Andaz Salon program,” said Christopher Wingerberg, director of sales at Andaz San Diego. “In launching this Andaz MBA event series we’re able to do just that while simultaneously giving back to Monarch Schools, a non-profit that does important work in our community.”
On April 23, guests can listen to live music played by the Spanish-born flamenco guitarist David De Alva, view vivid paintings by contemporary artist Sarah Stieber (a past winner of the public art competition at Southern California’s Coachella Music and Art festival) and taste local craft beer from one of San Diego’s hottest breweries, Modern Times. The event will take place in the plush Andaz Wine Bar, a chic environment for mingling with like-minded attendees.
Andaz Salon is a series of dedicated events held at Andaz hotels across the nation, including Andaz San Diego. These sought after occasions offer opportunities for locals and visitors to engage in unique social experiences under the guidance of knowledgeable event hosts. Admission to this Andaz “MBA” Salon is complimentary and the hotel is asking all attendees to bring a donation of unused art supplies, which will be donated to the Monarch Schools. Andaz MBA is a 21+ event.
