18 Jun Draft Now Open, Bringing “Brews and Views” to San Diego’s Belmont Park
Draft, the newest restaurant in Mission Beach, opens today at the soon-to-be reimagined Belmont Park. Created by the visionaries from Eat.Drink.Sleep. – the hospitality company that manages signature properties such as Tower23 and The Lakehouse Hotel & Resort – Draft is ready to serve “brews and views” to beer aficionados and beach-goers. Diners will find the restaurant on the southwest corner of Belmont Park on the South Mission Beach boardwalk at 3105 Ocean Front Walk.
Beachside Chic Design: Draft brings a fresh take on beachside dining and sets the tone to create a new genre in brewpub experiences. Designed by Mauricio Couturier and Hollis Brand Culture, Draft sits on the boardwalk overlooking the Pacific Ocean and all the action on Mission Beach. A laidback aesthetic reigns, but hightech details including a massive 31.5 foot by 8.40 foot television screen projecting images of San Diego’s beach culture and craft beer scene as well as sporting events, set Draft apart.
Craft Beer on Tap & by the Bottle: With 69 taps and 50+ bottles, San Diego’s burgeoning beer culture takes center stage in an unpretentious environment. The craft beer menu will rotate seasonally and there will be opportunities for beer education as well to inspire beer exploration, experimentation and enjoyment among enthusiasts and casual beer drinkers. The restaurant will also serve a selection of brown spirit centered cocktails and traditional libations plus signature “meal-on-a-stick” Bloody Marys and mimosas for brunch.
Inventive Cuisine & Tavern Classics: Draft features casual, handcrafted fare from Belmont Park Executive Chef Brad Wise. The all-day menu includes swoon worthy share plates, such as Pork Belly Corndogs with Truffled Mustard; inventive “handhelds”, such as the Pistachio Crusted Salmon Sandwich; and tavern classics, such as BBQ Baby Back Ribs. Nightly happy hour and weekend brunch entice visitors and locals alike to drink and dine at this landmark oceanfront locale.
Draft is open from 11am-close Monday through Thursday, 11am-2am Friday and Saturday and 4:30pm-close for dinner on Sunday. Brunch will also be served from 9am-4pm on Saturday and Sunday.
