22 Jul The Westgate Hotel Celebrates Summer with “Tipsy Tea”
The Westgate Hotel has added three unique “tipsy tea” cocktails to their indulgent afternoon tea, hosted in the Grand Lobby. Guests can now enjoy a mixologist inspired tea-infused cocktail or a glass of champagne paired with an array of delicious tea sandwiches, pastries and scones. Seasonal bites for summer include house smoked salmon crème fraiche with caviar and quail egg and fresh summer berries.
“Our afternoon tea has been a favorite with guests and a fixture at The Westgate Hotel for more than 25 years,” said Richard Cox, general manager of the Westgate Hotel. “This year we are excited to add tea-infused cocktails to our service, continuing to offer the classic elegance of a tradition afternoon tea with a new modern twist.”
Developed in conjunction with Rumbling Tins Cocktail Co. The Westgate Hotel’s “tipsy tea” cocktails include peach tea bourbon infusion The Versailles, A Royal Affair featuring cinnamon tea tequila, and the classic gin and chamomile brew Palace Punch. Tipsy tea cocktails are served exclusively at the hotel’s Sunset Jazz Concert Series or during afternoon tea throughout the summer.
Afternoon teas are served daily from 2:30-5p.m., The price for tea with an included Tipsy Tea cocktail is $39 per person (plus tax and gratuity). Tea for children 12 and under is $22. Reservations can be made at www.westgatehotel.com or by calling 619-557-3655.
