Chemistry PR is looking for a San Diego-based freelance content creator to produce high-quality short-form video and photo content for social media. If you live and breathe TikTok and Instagram, have a strong creative eye, and know how to shoot and edit your own content—we want to hear from you.
This is a flexible role (within San Diego), ideal as a side hustle for someone who loves digital storytelling and wants to work with a mix of lifestyle, hospitality, and consumer brands.
**Must be available for weekday and evening shoots**—flexibility is key.
Qualifications:
- Based in San Diego (must be available for weekday and evening shoots)
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience in photography, videography, and content creation
- A portfolio or social media presence that shows your production chops
- Experience creating elevated, luxury-minded content for restaurants, hotels, real estate, and general lifestyle brands
- Strong video editing skills (Instagram Reels, CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, etc.)
- Excellent editing and proofreading skills—you care about clean captions, proper grammar, and typo-free content
- Comfortable on camera when needed – expert hand model essential
- Familiar with how photo and video content is displayed across TikTok, Reels, and Instagram Feed
- Own your own gear (camera, lighting, mic) and know how to use it
- Clear communicator—both written and verbal
- Reliable, organized, and deadline-driven
- Open to feedback and collaborative by nature
- In tune with current social trends, formats, and platform updates
- Bonus if you have design (Canva, Adobe, etc.) or typography skills, but not required
What You’ll Do:
- Shoot and edit photo/video content based on client briefs and social media strategy
- Edit content shot by team members
- Craft clean, engaging captions with strong attention to grammar and tone
- Pitch creative ideas and contribute to brainstorms
- Communicate with our team about project timelines and feedback
- Deliver polished content, and make quick edits when needed
- Keep tabs on social trends, audio, and visual styles
- Help us keep things fresh, relevant, and engaging for our clients
Compensation:
Market rate commensurate with experience.
