CCS

Challenge: Founded in 1969, Center for Community Solutions (CCS) has remained committed to solving the problems of relationship violence and abuse, improving the lives of survivors, and changing the social conditions that breed and tolerate their existence. The organization has since expanded to provide a wide variety of prevention and intervention services to eliminate societal conditions that condone and perpetuate relationship and sexual violence, and to promote safety, justice, and healing for those impacted by these crimes. In honor of their 50th anniversary, CCS partnered with Chemistry PR to commemorate 50 years of hope and healing in the San Diego community.

Results: Chemistry PR provided impressive results around CCS’s 50th-anniversary milestone, including Verna Griffin-Tabor’s recognition of Woman of the Year 2019 by San Diego Magazine. Chemistry PR’s efforts resulted in more than 5 million impressions helping to increase awareness and fundraising dollars to support victims and survivors. Top tier media placements included Allure Magazine, San Diego Magazine, The San Diego Union-Tribune, San Diego Business Journal, The Daily Transcript, Ranch and Coast, Thrillist and Modern Luxury San Diego and local TV affiliates including KUSI, CBS8, and NBC7.  

Trust

Challenge: Trust Restaurant made its debut in February 2016 helping to redefine the neighborhood of Hillcrest and reignite its food scene. The first tenant to open in noted architect Jonathan Segal’s “Mr. Robinson” building on the corner of Park and Robinson in Hillcrest, Trust serves nationally-acclaimed urban rustic food crafted with locally-sourced, seasonal ingredients with the addition of wood fire cookery. Prior to opening, Trust Restaurant Group tasked Chemistry PR with introducing the flagship eatery showcasing the cooking talents of Executive Chef and Owner Brad Wise.

Result: Since the launch, Chemistry PR has generated hundreds of placements in local, regional and national print, online and broadcast outlets. In total, the placements have generated more than 300 million impressions with an advertising equivalency of $5 million.

As a result of the coverage and Chemistry PR’s social media and influencer programs, Trust remains one of the toughest tables in town and continues to earn accolades. Chef Brad Wise was invited to cook at the James Beard House and the Travel Channel’s Food Paradise recently featured Chef Brad Wise on a “cooking with fire” episode.

Since opening, Trust has not spent one dollar on advertising. Every guest who walks through the doors has been the result of Chemistry PR’s media relations and social media program and the resulting word-of-mouth.

Westgate

Challenge: The landmark Westgate Hotel offers treasured elegance in the heart of downtown San Diego. The property features 223 deluxe guestrooms, including 160 king rooms, 56 double rooms and 7 suites. Appointed with luxury bed linens, European furnishings, generously proportioned furniture, luxe marble bathrooms and bright step-out balconies, the rooms afford a range of stunning views across the San Diego skyline, bay and historic greenery of Balboa Park. The property’s unsurpassed AquaVie Fitness + Wellness Club added a new dimension of modern luxury, health and wellness and pampering to the urban destination.

Chemistry PR collaborated with the Westgate to maintain the profile of the property known for its Parisian style, society-studded events and its support of San Diego’s arts and cultural community.  The goals were to maintain the hotel’s stature while also ensuring it is seen as relevant and on-trend in the areas of guest service, food and beverage and lifestyle offerings. Chemistry PR managed content creation and engagement for the hotel’s social platforms and launched an ongoing influencer relations program.

The culinary and lifestyle focused social media program focused on quality content and influencer relations generating thousands of followers, millions of impressions and active engagement across the primary platforms, Facebook and Instagram.

As a result of coverage and the social media program, the Westgate Hotel remains one of the most sought after properties in San Diego particularly among regional travelers, international travelers, smaller groups and the arts community.

AquaVie Fitness & Wellness Club continues to grow in membership and has been host to dozens of health + wellness writers and influencers as well as FAM trips in conjunction with the San Diego Tourism Authority. Most recently, the facility was featured in Forbes as one of the top five new reasons to visit San Diego.

Tracy Lynn

Challenge: Tracy Lynn Studio desired increased brand awareness and elevated marketing efforts to match their established stunning, personalized approach to interior design. A small, but fast-growing company, Tracy Lynn Studio had successfully defined their brand and mission, but they needed a creative communications strategy to help grow their business and their profile in the highly competitive interior design space. Tracy Lynn Studio partnered with Chemistry PR to catch the attention of design media and homeowners looking to engage a notable interior designer.

Result: Chemistry PR’s profiling program yielded more than 2.1 million local impressions and more than 20.4 million national impressions in 2019 alone with an estimated ad value of $1.6 million. The initial strategic push to major media generated 26 media placements in publications including California Home & Design, Domino Magazine, Dwell, HGTV, San Diego Voyager, San Diego Home and Garden, and Ranch and Coast Magazine. Continued strategic communications plans resulted in 26 media placements in publications including Wall Street Journal/Mansion Global, Rue Daily, Modern Luxury Interiors, San Diego Magazine and Modern Luxury San Diego. Additionally, Tracy Lynn Studio achieved several awards including The Daily Transcript’s 50 Influential Leaders 2019 and San Diego Home and Garden’s Baths of the Year 2020.
